Far From the Tree
This was my entry for Molyjam 2012
, a 48-hour
game jam. It's based on a combination of the following Peter Molydeux tweets:
- You wake up one day in a fortress, your family are little plants. You must escape with
all plants, watering them and keeping in sunlight etc
- What if you were half man half tree? You can only fight when in soil and constantly grow
throughout the game.
- What if you could plant seeds that grow into cover systems?
- What if a cover system had raw emotion? i.e having to use dead people that you loved as
a means of cover?
After the end of the jam, I added joystick support, and a few little visual effects.
